Journey and I was driving to school last week, when
she said to me, "Mommy, I can't wait until I get to heaven and see God.” I
asked her why she said that, and she said, “I want to tell God thank you for
all that he has done for me.” I thought that was the sweetest thing anyone
could say, and she was so genuine with it...She brought tears to my eyes...I
am so glad she is at Gulf Coast and so happy there. Aisha

GCCS has been the answer to my family's prayers. As
a single mom, I depend on GOD to hold or family together. Since the divorce
my son has struggled with fitting in and being comfortable in his skin. He
had horrible test anxiety. Yet, after 2 weeks at GCCS, he came home and
announced." Mom, I made an 85 on my math test." Excited and proud
responded... "Buddy, that's great!" He went on to say, "But, I'm going to
retake it." I thought, “Why? he did great”, but before I could say a word,
he said.." because 85 is good, but I believe I can get 100!" To have my son
not only be proud of his grades, but to volunteer to retake a test, is like,
well, it's a blessing.
As for my daughter, she fell in love with GCCS during our back to school
event. She said she just knew she belonged at GCCS.. she just felt it
inside. I will say to anyone she was right. We believe GOD wanted for our
family to be apart of the GCCS family and we thank HIM for blessing us to be
a part of it! Vivian Bell, Parent of a 3rd and a 6th grader.
Our son attended GCCS from preschool through 8th
grade. He is now enrolled in the CAT program at Lakewood High School. He
stated recently that his adjustment to the larger school has been easy, and
that he has been very well prepared for his classes, including his advanced
ones. While at GCCS, he also learned to care for others, and to show that
care. We are very proud of him and the accomplishments he has made, both
spiritually and academically. ~ Dr. Kevin and Dr. Rosanna Garner
My daughter, Arlynne, struggled with reading prior to
coming to GCCS. In just one quarter, she has become a proficient reader, and
is no longer having trouble with her sentences. She now does her homework
without anyone telling her to do so. She is striving to make the Principal’s
list next quarter, after achieving the honor roll the first quarter. Mrs.
Grimm and Mrs. Peeples have really helped her gain confidence. ~ Susan Mansell
I feel blessed to have my children at GCCS, I know
that they are getting a great education and are being well taken care of.
There is a sense of community among all ages of students, teachers and staff,
it has been a great experience for myself and my children. ~ Nancy
Myrick, Mother of a 5th grader and VPK student
I'm writing to let you know how strongly I feel
about Gulf Coast Christian School. As an over-protective Grandparent, with
custody of our grandson, my husband and I researched many schools. We came to
the conclusion that GCCS would be the best place to start our grandson's
education. When a child is coming from a broken home and they're having a hard
time dealing with the changes in their life, it has been nice to have the
emotional and spiritual support of the GCCS teachers. He started in
Kindergarten and has just graduated from the 5th grade. In those six years he
has been an "A" student and scored above average on his S.A.T.'s, along with
most of his classmates. I believe the smaller classroom sizes, experienced
teaching staff and personal attention that each child is given is the direct
result of Gulf Coast Christian's academic superiority. He has been given a
strong foundation both spiritually and academically along with wonderful
memories of his elementary school years. I really can't thank you and your
teaching staff enough.
“GCCS is like a family. Everyone in the school (staff
and students) know our boys by name. We feel blessed to have found such a
wonderful school for our children.”
Thanks,
Laura K. Dao , Preschool parent
